Powering The Future of ‘L Category’ Vehicles
POWERING THE FUTURE
Powered Light Vehicle (PLV) Electric Propulsion Systems
Powered Light Vehicles (PLVs) is the collective term for a range of two, three and four-wheeled vehicles for either passenger or cargo use. Their compact size and light weight ensures optimal use of available road space and as they are predominantly powered by zero and low emission powertrains they offer an efficient, clean and practical form of personal and commercial mobility.

Moda Industries
Voltdrive are proud to be working with Moda Industries to create the next generation of adventure vehicles and experiences, designed to inspire a new wave of adventurers to explore the best our planet has to offer and spark a deeper connection with our environment. The project aims toThis project aims to design and build an electric propulsion system for a new electric motorcycle, focusing on high performance, efficiency, and sustainability. It involves selecting and integrating a powerful electric motor, advanced battery technology, and a robust control system. Key objectives include achieving a competitive range, rapid acceleration, and ensuring safety and reliability. The project encompasses detailed design, prototyping, and rigorous testing phases to optimize performance. Collaborating with experts in electric vehicles and leveraging cutting-edge technologies will ensure the motorcycle meets market demands and regulatory standards, positioning it as a leader in the electric motorcycle industry.

DC Fast Charge
This project aims to design an innovative on-board charging system for a low voltage electric motorcycle, enabling compatibility with public rapid charging infrastructure. The unique technology will automatically re-configure the battery to accept the high-voltage input from rapid chargers efficiently and safely. The system will incorporate advanced power electronics, thermal management, and intelligent control algorithms to ensure fast, reliable charging without compromising battery life. Key phases include concept development, prototyping, and extensive testing to ensure compliance with industry standards. This breakthrough will facilitate widespread adoption of low voltage electric motorcycles by enhancing convenience and reducing charging times.

eMoto X
The project aims to design and manufacture an electric propulsion system for existing ICE motorcycles, enhancing performance and reliability. Initially targeting the Moto X and Enduro markets, the system will enable easy conversion to electric power, promoting sustainability and extending the life of current motorcycles. Key features include a high-performance electric motor, adaptable battery packs, and a user-friendly installation process. The project encompasses design, prototyping, and rigorous testing to ensure durability and compliance with market standards. Future expansion will cater to a broader range of motorcycles and vehicles in the ‘L Category’ market segment, driving widespread adoption of electric propulsion technology.
